Registration of the operation of branches of foreign credit institutions in Vietnam

 Upon setting up a branch in Vietnam, an foreign credit institution  shall send a file to the provincial-level business registration office of the locality where the enterprise locates its branch.

Files for registration of the operation of branches of foreign credit institutions in Vietnam

 Files for registration of the operation of branches in Vietnam include:

 1. An application for enterprise registration in standard Form I-2
 2. Attached documents:
  a. A valid copy of operation license of foreign credit institution issued by State Bank of Vietnam;
  b. A written decision and a copy of the minutes of the Members” Council meeting, for limited liability companies with two or more members; of the company owner or the Members” Council or the company president, for one-member limited liability companies; of the Board of Directors, for joint-stock companies on the setting up of a branch
  c. A valid copy of the decision appointing the head of the branch;
  d. A valid copy of any of personal identification numbers of the head of the branch;

  e. A valid copy of business registration or other equivalent document, charter or other equivalent document  of foreign bank;
  f. Legal capital certificate issued by State Bank of Vietnam.
  g. A valid copy of legal document of business location
  h. Authorization documents
  i. Contact information for the person lodging registration file.
  j. Document evidencing all fees for enterprise registration has been paid.

(Notes: Foreign documents must be authenticated, legalized and translated into Vietnamese within 3 months prior lodging date)
