Vietnam electronic visa (E-visa) online for foreigners entering Vietnam

I. Eligibility of Vietnam electronic visa (E-visa) online for foreigners entering Vietnam for tourism, business, investment, labor, marriage.

1. Vietnam electronic visa (E-visa) online is applicable to outside Vietnam foreigners;

2. Foreigners holding valid passports, its validity remained at least 6 months up to date  applying for E-Visa.

3. Foreigners are not falling into the cases of suspension from entry prescribed by Law on foreigners” entry into, exit from, transit through, residence in Vietnam.

4. Foreigners who are citizens in the list of countries that allowed E-visa issuing: 1. Andorra; 2. Argentina; 3. Armenia; 4. Australia; 5. Austria; 6. Azerbaijan; 7.Belarus; 8. Belgium; 9. Bosnia and Herzegovina; 10. Brazil; 11. Bruney; 12. Bulgaria; 13. Canada; 14.Chile; 15. China (Hong Kong and Macau, do not carry Chinese e-passports); 16. Colombia; 17. Croatia; 18. Cuba; 19. Cyprus; 20. Czech Republic; 21. Denmark; 22.Estonia; 23.Fiji; 24.Finland; 25.France; 26.Georgia; 27.Germany; 28.Greece; 29.Hungarian; 30.Iceland; 31.India; 32.Ireland; 33. Italy; 34. Japan; 35. 5. List of ports that allowed foreigners to enter and exit Vietnam by E-visa:

A foreigner shall use an e-visa to enter and exit through international ports as follows:

A. List of International airports
1. Noi Bai International Airport;
2. Tan Son Nhat International Airport;
3. Cam Ranh International Airport;
4. Da Nang International Airport;
5. Cat Bi International Airport;
6. Can Tho International Airport;
7. Phu Quoc International Airport;
8. Phu Bai International Airport.

B. List of landports
1. Mong Cai/Quang Ninh international landport;
2. Huu Nghi/Lang Son international landport;
3. Lao Cai/Lao Cai international landport;
4. Nam Can/Nghe An international landport;
5. Cau Treo/Ha Tinh international landport;
6. Cha Lo/Quang Binh international landport;
7. Lao Bao/Quang Tri international landport;
8. Bo Y/Kon Tum international landport;
9. Moc Bai/Tay Ninh international landport;

II. Procedures for Vietnam electronic visa (E-visa) online for foreigners entering Vietnam for tourism, business, investment, labor, marriage.

A. Procedures for Vietnam electronic visa (E-visa) online at the request of outside Vietnam foreigners

1. A outside Vietnam foreigner shall request for grant of Vietnam e-visa as follows:

a/ To access the E-visa page of the Vietnam Immigration Department to fill out the Vietnam e-visa form, uploading the passport photo and ID page:
https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/en_US/web/guest/khai-thi-thuc-dien-tu/cap-thi-thuc-dien-tu
b/ To receive the e-dossier code and pay the visa fee to a bank account provided on the e-visa grant website of the Vietnam Immigration Department.

2. Within 3 working days after receiving complete information for e-visa application and the visa fee, the Vietnam Immigration Department shall consider and process the e-visa application and give a reply to the applicant on the e-visa grant website of the Vietnam Immigration Department.

3. A foreigner applying for an e-visa shall use the e-dossier code to check for the processing result of the Immigration Department on the e-visa grant website; in case of being granted an e-visa, he/she shall use the e-dossier code to print out the e-visa according to standard Form.

B. Procedures for Vietnam E-visas at the request of the sponsoring agencies based in Vietnam.

1. Before applying for an E-visa for a foreigner, a Vietnam-based agency shall register an e-account in accordance with Clause 2 of this Article, and have an e-signature under the Law on E-Transactions and guiding documents.

2. Registration and cancelation of e-accounts
a/ The agency shall send to the Vietnam Immigration Department a written request for grant of an e-account according to standard Form. The grant of an e-account shall be requested only once, unless there is a change in content or the account is canceled in accordance with Point c of this Clause;
b/ Within 3 working days after receiving the request of the agency, the Vietnam Immigration Department shall issue a reply and grant an e-account according to standard Form; in case of refusal to grant an e-account, the Vietnam Immigration Department shall issue a written reply clearly stating the reason according to standard Form;
c/ An e-account shall be canceled when so requested in writing by the account owner or the account owner violates the laws on e-transactions and immigration management. When canceling an account, the Vietnam Immigration Department shall issue a written notification clearly stating the reason according to standard Form.

3. The agency applying for Vietnam E-visa for a foreigner shall use the e-account to access the e-visa grant website to apply for such a visa in accordance with Article 4 of Decree mentioned below.

4. Within 3 working days after receiving complete information for e-visa application and the visa fee, the Vietnam Immigration Department shall consider and process the application and reply to the applying agency or organization on the e-visa grant website.

5. The agency applying for Vietnam e-visa for a foreigner shall use the e-dossier code to receive the written reply of the Vietnam Immigration Department on the e-visa grant website and notify the settlement result to the foreigner.

6. A foreigner obtaining Vietnam e-visa shall use the e-dossier code notified by the agency or organization to print out the Vietnam e-visa.

II. Valid duration of Vietnam electronic visa (E-visa) online for foreigners entering Vietnam for tourism, business, investment, labor, marriage.

1. Vietnam E-visa is valid for maximum of 30 days, single entry.
2. Foreigners can extend their visas in accordance with the Law on entry, exit, transit and residence of foreigners in Vietnam.
